I think it has to do with Neutral.

at 12:30 PM, Saturday December 11, 2010 EST Troy, despite his lack of comprehension on the subject, is pretty much right. Gray is 51% globally because it doesn't attack and all those 8v8s on gray skew its defenses towards 50+%.

at 12:33 PM, Saturday December 11, 2010 EST Furthermore since kakku's new plugin I was messing around with the degree to which I can control my own luck in 0 tables. I've been able to pull 60+% games as well as 40-% games just by playing accordingly. So yeah, I'd say how you roll or how you're rolled in the case of Neutral makes a big difference in what your ultimate luck % is. Also since Neutral can't attack it is quick conclusion that on the aggregate players attack more than they defend and consequently the opposite effect, to what happens to Neutral, will happen to them (aka their luck will fall below 50% because they attack more than they defend).

It's the KDice equivalent of all the Einstein predictions that scientist were only able to confirm with real experiments decades later :P |

I understand the rteasoning behind gray having an edge because it only defends and hence wins even rolls. but since im here can I ask a stupid question? no, make that TWO stupid questions. if there is a red vs green 7v1 attack and the result is red wins the roll with 7 (1+1+1+1+1+1+1) vs 6 (6), and the attack hence succeeds, what is the luck % for red and green? I mean, green had the bestb roll he could possibly have, so his luck% would be high? otoh, red had a rotten roll but obviously had to win. so does he get a bad luck% then despite winning? admittedly that was a conglomerate question. 2nd question, why is it that on the leaderboard the "luckiest this month" are 51s, rarely exceed 52%, while the unluckiest are typically around 45, 46? |
