Integral Abusing Mod Powers

He is driving me to quit the game.

He chat bans me in the middle of a tournament he is also playing in because of "spamming".

He lied and said I had been warned about spamming in the past. When pressed he admitted when pressed that I had chatted the "spam" in question ONCE ever. The "spam" is a one-line ASCII art.

He has a personal vendetta against me, and is constantly threatening me with bans. He has revealed my original account to others in the chat on several occassions. He likes to PGE me with THRILLHO.

That is all fine and part of kdice gameplay, but you can't have someone leveraging powers of modship on a personal level.

Where do I cancel my membership from renewal?

I understand why integral feels the need to come here and defend his unfair actions at length and try to confuse the issue to protect himself, but I would like a reply from whomever is in charge.

Is that Jurgen?

if you went thru this thread and replaced
'benjamin barker' with 'gurgi'
and
'spam' with 'pga'
this thread would be identical to the BDK/gurgi one.

or that other thread where the dude whined about not being able to play for like 22 minutes.

And to answer you. mysterious alt person. Who really cares about a chat ban for a day? You still have the freedom to play, and post this drivel in this high tech forum.

The person who is in charge of this issue did reply to you: it's integral

from what I can make of the "evidence" is that you pushed it too far and deserved a day of -chat

let's all observe a millisecond of reflection to think about this closed case

my advice: take a day off kdice, work on your bad attitude because you're certainly no saint, and if you like playing KDice, come back and play some more

Well, thanks for at least replying Jurgen. It's a shame you don't seem to care in the least, though.

I've never wanted to quit kdice before. I don't mind being berated, verbally abused, backstabbed, PGE'd, PGA'd, whatever. It's all part of the game.

However, if this is an environment where mods can ban on a whim without reason because they don't personally like someone, I don't want to be a part of it. Now that he knows he can get away with it, I'm sure additional bannings for amusement would be in my future. It's hard enough to get 2k and 5k games during the evenings USA time, and driving away regulars form your player base is killing the game.

The issue isn't that he banned you "without" reason, it's the fact that you don't like his reasoning.

I have been at tables when you have gone out of your way to be obnoxious, so it's not a stretch to imagine you being petulant for the sake of it. You are clinging to the fact that he wrote "spamming" on your profile. I think the underlying issue is that you were warned for something and decided to be cheeky and push the boundaries rather than heed the warning. Fair?

Thrillho is right ^^

and people leaving or tables not filling isn't the mods fault in 99% of the cases

people leave because they get bored, find other games, grow up, get a life, etc

the biggest player related reasons why people quit would come from other people being jerks, bullies, pointwhores, offensive, etc... and not mods banning people

check the advisorlog ban list: most bans are mutiple alts and even from those banned people, most of them keep playing and accumulate more than one ban

If mods wanted to keep more of the otherwise quitting people around, they should in fact be warning and banning more so the few bad apples would actually leave so the other 98% would stay happier. We're not going to overmod though, things are ok ish as they are now imo.

Partly fair, yes. But again, my contention is that this "boundary" was ill placed, poorly enforced, and in fact what constitutes crossing the line to integral is largely subject to and influenced by his personal distastes.

also das, you just compared integral with bdk. I dunno if that's the comparison you want to make here..

The situation with integral is similar to what it would be if THRILLHO was allowed to ban me. He wouldn't spite ban me for nothing and lose his power. Instead he would look out for situations that he could misconstrue into a loosely plausible bannable offense, and take satisfaction in doing so. The difference is THRILLHO can't ban me and integral can.

If THRILLHO could troll me to the point that I quit the game, I'm sure he would love that. integral has the same type of feud with me, but also a ban button. From a player, that feud mindset is fine, but not from a mod.

Jurgen made it clear integral is in charge of himself, and is trusted to act and ban autonomously without potential repercussion. integral is usually on during the evening hours I play, so if I were to continue playing it would be only a matter of time before I rubbed him the wrong way again and he came up with a new excuse for a temp ban.
