Integral Abusing Mod Powers

He is driving me to quit the game.
He chat bans me in the middle of a tournament he is also playing in because of "spamming". He lied and said I had been warned about spamming in the past. When pressed he admitted when pressed that I had chatted the "spam" in question ONCE ever. The "spam" is a one-line ASCII art. He has a personal vendetta against me, and is constantly threatening me with bans. He has revealed my original account to others in the chat on several occassions. He likes to PGE me with THRILLHO. That is all fine and part of kdice gameplay, but you can't have someone leveraging powers of modship on a personal level. Where do I cancel my membership from renewal? |

at 10:42 AM, Tuesday January 13, 2015 EST To fully explain, I recently got the new okdice extension for chrome. BugThug told me about it, and I was experimenting with that chat buttons. We were having a laugh at the idea of a BugButton, and this is what I have my BugButton put in the chat:
â??â?©â??(â?£_â?¢)â??â?©â?? This is the thing that integral banned me for: (_Ì?_Ì?_Ì?_Ì?_Ì?мÌ?aÌ?Ñ?Ì?iÌ?jÌ?uÌ?aÌ?nÌ?aÌ?_Ì?_Ì?_Ì? () à¸?à¹?à¹?à¹?à¹?à¹?à¹?à¹?à¹?à¹?à¹?à¹?à¹?à¹?à¹?à¹?à¹?à¹?à¹?à¹?à¹?à¹?à¹?à¹?à¹? Notice how the smoke creates a little smoke wafting up. I typed that in the chat a total of two times ever. Not in the same game. Not even in the same tournament. How is that spamming? Integral was not reacting in response to anyone's complaint. No one complained about me doing anything, let alone spamming. He was act vindictively on his own, because he doesn't like my attitude. I have a combative attitude at the tables, but that DOES NOT warrant abusing mod powers for a personal vendetta. "Spamming", sheesh. No logs. No rules for mods. No policies. Is there no accountability around here? |

at 10:44 AM, Tuesday January 13, 2015 EST Well, the ascii art didn't work in the forum post, but those are 1 line ascii arts of a middle finger and of a joint.
When are you going to decide the length of my ban? Just kind of see how you feel about the matter personally? Is there a policy on how long to ban for spamming? Do you see how what occurred was not in fact at all spamming? |

I put the special character in question in the chat box TWO TIMES EVER IN HISTORY. Not in the same game. Not in the same tournament. Twice ever. That is really a bannable spamming offense? |

Ryan: who cares? |

Let a mod chat ban without valid reasons because of a personal bias. But hey, who cares? It's only chat, it's not for a long time. So who cares if he abuses mod power for personal vendettas? You're missing the point. |

Generally a chat abuse ban is one day, I will only be on sporadically for the day so I'm not sure when I'll get a chance to unban you, which is why I said most likely less than 24 hours. If I don't unban you by midnight today, then you can contact another mod (even a gpokr mod if jurgen isn't around) and you can use this post to tell them it's ok to unban you. Though I'll probably be able to unban you before then, so that's not really an issue. I feel like I addressed your power abuse claim, so I'm not really sure what else I can say that wouldn't just be rehashing what I've already said. |

benjamin barker wrote
at 11:32 AM, Tuesday January 13, 2015 EST There is no rehashing. You keep intentionally dodging the issue.
You banned me for spam. I did not spam. Please explain how typing a special character two times ever, not even in the same tournament, is spam. You cloud the issue bringing up unrelated incidents from many months ago. It's a very simple and straightforward request for explanation. |

when I saw it I said, pretty non-confrontational, that you not spam. You then turned it into an argument, and then finally said ok you wouldn't do it. Then proceeded to make your middle finger ascii art a few times, to which I said nothing, and then finally repeated the same ascii art which you had just agreed you wouldn't do. |

at 11:44 AM, Tuesday January 13, 2015 EST I bring up the past issues because it's not like this was just one warning and a ban.
You've been repeated warned about your abusive behaviour, ban evaded even when you were banned, and even when you agree that you won't do something, you continue to do it 2 minutes later. |

at 11:52 AM, Tuesday January 13, 2015 EST That's not what I put in the chat. The "smoke" did not render the chat unreadable or unusable in any way. It didn't make the screen look like a bunch of scribbly lines like that. That is not what happened.
It wasn't 2 minutes later. It was more than 10 minutes later, and for that 10 minutes you berated and threatened and argued with me about the ONE AND ONLY TIME I put that symbol in the chat at that point. And again, the main issue is there is absolutely no doubt that you wouldn't have banned many other players for the same issue. You show leniency with your friends and harshness to your enemies. This whole matter was far from banworthy, but what matters most is not what actually happens in the chat but rather who you have a personal distaste for. That is fine for doing things like PGE or stabbing me, but it's not appropriate use of mod powers. |
