Slinus is a self-confessed true contrarian, so his attitude towards the mod guidelines shouldn't come as a genuine surprise.

But one thing is certainly true: mods seem to be much more tolerant with insults and verbal abuse posted as reviews (e.g. http://kdice.com/profile/45158716/reviews ) than insults/abuse in chat, although the reviews are here to stay for all eternity.

That's mainly because there is no direct way to moderate them (we cannot edit or remove them, or give -review)

I've banned or threatened to ban a few people that wrote really unacceptable reviews but it's a never ending story if we had to try and change every unacceptable review.

I know that integral also "scans" the review list but you'd need 15 mods to monitor those well and tbh, I think our time is better spent watching the games and chat instead.

Anyways, it's understandable that you can't scrutinize each and every review (just as much as you can't oversee every table 24/7).
