wikipedia is an excellent source if it itself cites its sources (which according to its policy are all academically acceptable). So certainly one can dismiss information on wikipedia where it is noted [citation needed] but not information that has a valid source.

No, I include some Europeans too. Remember, they tried to blow themselves up already, it just happened long before I was born. I'm pretty sure the Middle East and most of Africa is in a war-like state the vast majority of the time. I'd be more than happy to have our troops stay home and watch them kill each other. Less money out of my pocket. Less friends and neighbors funerals to attend. But I'm sure as soon as the U.S. took a step back from the world and told those places to take care of their own problems, there would be people bitching about how we aren't properly policing the world or protecting the innocent.
