You can't cite encyclopedias. End of story. Got it you moron? Btw when the fuck are you getting the hell out of this great country and moving to Spain? You really should go. |

at 9:21 AM, Wednesday May 4, 2011 EDT Yodel, despite my massive disagreement with BO's point of view of this country, his comments are never as counterproductive as your last post.
Do you get a rise out of being an internet asshole, or is that the maximum value you can bring to an argument? |

at 9:32 AM, Wednesday May 4, 2011 EDT traditionally the US ran an isolationist streak in its foreign policy
i wouldn't say we're superior in terms of self governance compared to the rest of the world anyhow. we definitely have an advantage as far as homogenous culture is concerned. but 50 years before WWI we had a civil war and arguably the tension between both factions still hasn't dissipated. i would say today our foreign policy is much more concerned with maintaining superiority rather than keeping us out of trouble like it was back in the day. whether that's good or bad i couldn't tell you. i would say thraxle's endorsement of isolationism is probably more in line with our tradition than what's been going on the last 50 years. |

u really think that if they would not have dictator-like leaders who are hoarding the money u'd be better off? no their population would compete on the world market for resources to increase prosperity and you would pay more out of your pocket (thats why these leaders where tolerated) and yeah u started the war in afghanistan to catch bin laden? to stop alqaeda? to eliminate taliban w/e your reason was, i bet it feels good to have killed 10k INNOCENT ppl for w/e your goals were (thats because of your definition of enemy combattant, or else it'd be higher) I truly hope that what goes around comes around |

at 9:43 AM, Wednesday May 4, 2011 EDT Some would argue what went around has come around, or perhaps you weren't watching the news in September 2011. If Osama wasn't hiding out in the Pakistan/Afghanistan region, I doubt we'd be on a war mission there to seize lithium. You may feel otherwise, and that's your perogative.
