These are the only rules outlined by the creator of the site. So tell me, how would you moderate KDice?

since when are the mods abusing inequality? they arent. some mods mod more than others, because some mods have more free time over a certain month than other mods do. some mods are more interested in kdice while others are less so. that doesnt mean that there is inequality among the mods. it is ludicrous to think that every mod on here mods the site for 10+ hours every day, and comes to the same conclusions.

i for one think the mods are doing a fucking stupendous job of forming a unified front despite the natural diversity among their personalities/nationalities/sexualities(looks at Shevar). especially when you compare the current situation with the situation from a year or so ago when the blowup with gpokr/xsketch mods happened. mods are doing a good job based on their tools and the fact that they do this fucking job for free.

hell, there are even times where a mod has made a judgment, then consulted other mods, and taken back that judgment. do you realize how fucking awesome that is? these mods are so fucking unbiased/democratic, it gives thrax morning wood in the afternoon!

now, as far as you newer players commenting on jurgens actions here. have you EVER been called out in the kdice forum for something you KNEW wasnt true? well thats what jurgen is going through here. back in 2007, the first time i was called out for pga in forum was by some dude with an av that looked like frederick douglass/karl marx, whose name started with a capital B (dammit, i cant remember his exact name, but it sounded like an eastern euro last name). anyways, I WAS PISSED, i mean, its one thing to have someone leave you a sour review and accuse you of shit you didnt do. but to leave a fuckin forum post that everyone else reads and makes judgments on? well fuck you, sir. i blew up, and responded like 10 times in that thread explaining and re-explaining how my actions were NOT pga, and how this loony was a jackass for warping the reputation i was trying to build in kdice. (Beltsin? Boltsin?)

anyways, i can see jurgen going through the same process. you take your k-reputation really superseriously when you first start playing, and you overreact when you get your first forum smear campaign against you. imagine how magnified those emotions must be when you are a new mod, and trying to establish your reputation on the site? jurgs is perhaps a bit over-sensitive (as i said earlier, i would just reply to this thread with nothing more than 'lol', and leave it at that). but he wants to defend his reputation here. what barmat did here was HUGELY escalate the situation. jurgen did not make this public against barmat. he is REACTING to barmat who made all this shit public. if i were jurgen it would be extremely hard not to take offense and put this barmat kid in his place (ESPECIALLY if i have incriminating emails from barmat).

i mean, jesus people, jurgen is taking the high road (well, mid-high road, but not low road) against barmat, by not completely dropping to his level, and instaposting the email(s) that obv show how big an asshole barmat was to bring this into the forum.

does barmat have a reason to be upset at jurgs? sure, he misunderstood sarcasm. its easy to do that on the internet. so fucking go talk to jurgen. dont launch a smear campaign in the forum against a mod. that does absolutely nothing good for this site.

How can I support all the mods if a majority of them only help themselves and the ones closest to them? I understand that modding is 'volunteer' work (chosen not by the majority) but do you really think things would improve if they were paid? not likely.

And Monte, Yes, I think I could mod without bias. I have modded other sites before and have done so with great respect from my peers.

No, this is not me asking to be made a mod, but if you feel that would help the situation, I would be happy to do so.

One thing should be clear for all players though. What powers are granted to a mod, how should mods deal with certain situations, ect.
I do not think people should be mad a mod without a proper training period dictated by Ryan.

Certain mods choose to regulate in different ways; that should not be the case.

Mods attempt to take a unified front as often as possible. Different people interpret what they see differently due to this site's LACK OF CLEARLY DEFINED RULES.

Again, I ask you to enlighten us as to how you would moderate this site based on the TWO gameplay rules Ryan has laid.

@LACK OF CLEARLY DEFINED RULES: Perhaps Ryan and mods should take some time to define them, as well as defining how they should rule accordingly. To keep this information from the average player does a great disservice to the site. If people do not fully understand how to play, how to regulate, then we are going no where. Asking me, the average player, how would I govern is not a good question. You should be asking everyone and them compiling the info to be discussed in another thread. Then you can post the information so everyone understand why a mod/player did what they did....

Like i said earlier, it is funny how you all get riled up over a conversation about mods.
