Sorry jurgs, i know a lot of your actions and deeds on dice have been great for the site however my only reaction to this is Jurgen -mod extortion: 1. The act or an instance of extorting 2. Abuse of one's official position or powers to obtain property, funds, patronage or favour. |

at 3:24 PM, Friday February 18, 2011 EST All mods should be enforcing the rules and the integrity of the game at all times on an equal scale. To say that Jurgz or any mod for that matter is needed over another goes to show that there are problems with the system.

at 3:30 PM, Friday February 18, 2011 EST Moral of the story: You can't please everyone.
I'll concede that Jurgen shouldn't use "mod humor" in a game with another player unless he's absolutely certain they know he's joking. I wasn't there and I don't know derya, so I can't speak on that subject. Mrs. M, I don't think anyone was dismissing Matt's screenshot here. We were dismissing the fact that the screenshot didn't prove anything and the conversation was lacking context without additional screenshots. Being a moderator and trying to play KDice is difficult at best. People treat you differently, both bad and good. Some people won't attack you, some people will PGE you for no good reason. You constantly get interrupted during playing getting asked to "look into this" or "why did you do that". It truly is a thankless job that isn't particularly fun. When there were no mods people here complained that we needed a mod. When we got one mod people complained that we needed more mods. When we got more mods people complained that we needed a wider variety of mods. Now someone wants "rotating mods". It never, ever, ever ends... Jurgen currently takes the most heat because he is doing the bulk of the bans. That's how it will always be. |

at 3:31 PM, Friday February 18, 2011 EST I do not understand what 'getting paid to be a mod, or having families' has to do with keeping the integrity of the game intact. If a mod has RL things to deal with and it is effecting the way they mod, then maybe they should not being doing it....

Wwhy is that 'That's how it will always be'....? Also, I understand the issues a mod faces when actually modding; it can be tough -I get it. But understand, that is your job on this site. |

at 3:36 PM, Friday February 18, 2011 EST The mods of the site are volunteers and the players should be thankful they are willing to give their time to the site with no compensation whatsoever. The mods are extremely underappreciated. The only way I see RL things interfering with their modding is by a lack of time.

at 3:37 PM, Friday February 18, 2011 EST So, vIRGI, I assume you would be perfectly fair in every situation and always know the exact solution to every problem? I also assume you believe the rules are perfectly black and white and not open to any interpretation of any kind, right?
