Be Warned

I have grown tired of people abusing the system by using alts to perpetrate crimes against the Kstate and then being able to use their mains without penalty. From now on, if I ban one account for breaking the law, any other accounts that belong to the same ip will also be banned.

You have been warned.

In your opinion BR (not you happy or pooch) how does sharing an account create an unfair environment?

why would you share an account unless you were engaged in conspiracy?

i can think of only a couple pure reasons. but he's right that most if not all shared accts arent shared for the right reasons...

that's like asking "why would you buy a gun unless you plan to kill someone"

it's the same pseudo-reasoning that people use to ban arms.

A shared account potentially creates a situation where a group of players have a vested interest in promoting the welfare of the shared account. Player 1 is wearing the account at a table where Player(s) 2, and/or 3, and/or 4 are sitting. It doesn't take much for the cabal (to use a time-dishonored Kmoniker)to swing the game in the shared account's favor. Doesn't that seem like a situation where inequity will exist for the other player's that are not part of the conspiracy?

Aside from that, the simple fact is that shared accounts are against the rules. Regardless of why such accounts are prohibited, the rules do not allow shared accounts and the penalty of permaban for such accounts is well publicized. The only modification that I am instituting is that the people behind the account will be punished for participating in the scheme.

Most people who frequent this site are actively opposed to the machinations of the relative few that revel in cheating. It is for the benefit of the majority that I intend to horsewhip the offenders.

Nice try, Blunt, but you fail. The correct analogy is more like a group of financiers who seek to manipulate the stock market for their own personal gain, while screwing the common investors who finance the market.

SEC enforcement FTW!

Boner, this is Ryan. I commend you for what you are doing.

I so respect you that I'm going to make a stunning admission - I've been sharing out both my Ryan account for 3 years.

To show my support for this new policy I ask that you ban the Ryan account.
