i dont know if obama's administration saved the auto industry. ford came out the strongest and most improved, and they made a point of NOT being saved, but actually being smart. still a good chance gmc tanks imo.

i think he did improve our foreign standing though. but tbh anybody could do that, after how badly bush butchered it.

i hate the idea that bailouts are the norm now. not that he started the trend, but it needs to stop.

Dems called Bush "Dubya" for years.....still do.

2. When on the topic of foreign policy, always accuse Obama of sucking other country's dicks.

He fucking bowed to everyone. He practically offered hand jobs.....it was embarrassing.

3. If a democrat presents a logical reason why Obama has done well as the PotUS, say that they wouldnt support the same policy if we had a republican president.

This is true.

4. If all else fails just say it was Bush's idea.

The Iraq timeline WAS BUSH'S IDEA......please prove otherwise.

5. And last but certainly not least, claim that he is destroying everything that is America by taxing the US citizens.

I didn't say that......I just point out that he campaigned that he wouldn't raise middle income taxes and that just isn't true. Again, please prove otherwise.

I'll just comment on a few of these.

Presidents take both the blame and credit for the state of the economy when they're in office, but in reality they only have a minute impact on it. This is obvious to anyone who has actually looked into it - congress has a far larger impact, and in more recent history, global economic conditions as well.

-created countless green jobs

Let's rephrase as 'borrowed money from China to create temporary 'green' jobs.' And any quick internet search will give you specifics on the number of green jobs 'created or saved.' And the jobs to money spent ratio is generally atrocious for most (not all) of the stimulus programs.

Wow, I must have missed that one.

Actually, the general consensus was that this was not managed well at the federal level. And if you are comparing the Gulf spill to Katrina, your sense of scale is seriously impaired.

Really? Are you sure Obama set that? Did the draw down not begin until after he came into office?

So Bush was not involved in imposing sanctions in consensus with the UN? All he did was mention them in a speech? That would be pretty lame, if it were accurate.

I'm not really defending Bush in most of this but just pointing out flaws in arguments. I loathe when people exaggerate just to attempt to prove their point or "win" a discussion.

Those werent meant as arguing points, just observations. He got rid of the 'Star Wars' program, which im pretty sure was put into action by a senile Reagan.

Saved the entire stock market from collapsing (from a low point of a dow of 6000 within a month of Obama taking office, to close to 11,000 just an year later, basically preventing millions of retirement accounts from getting wiped out) - Check

Ended the ban on travel for people with HIV - Check

Stopped the dismissals of homosexual individuals serving in the military by the Pentagon (It's the first step to dismantling DA,DT completely) - Check

Ended the federal crackdown on Medicinal Marijuana centers in CA - Check

Passed into law Mortgage Fraud Protections - Check

Ended the ban on Stem Cell Research - Check

Passed Student Loan Reform, and Used The Savings to Significantly Increase Financial Aid Loans and Grants - Check

Reversed the ban on sending foreign aid to countries with legal abortions (The Mexico City Policy) - Check

Signed the Expanded Hate Crimes Bill - Check

Helped stem down employment discrimination by passing the Lilly Ledbetter Act - Check
