When did I say the second quote? And they aren't fucked based on being born poor, they're fucked because their parents don't do enough to help them succeed. Which equates to laziness....apathy.....whatever......so why should we continue to increase benefits to a class of people that in general endlessly do nothing to improve themselves or their family?

Observations aren't made only from those people you personally know. If you'd like statistics sourced I'd be more than happy. If you'd like to compare school age test scores from different areas of society.....we can do that. If you'd like to compare the number of "broken homes" in proportion to population statistics.....we can do that too. I don't need to have full knowledge of every family everywhere to make a contrived observation about a culture as a whole.

Stop using the rich guy/third yacht example. That purchase by the rich guy is far more beneficial for the economy than A YEARS WORTH OF 100 POOR PEOPLE BUYING GROCERIES. There are two totally doable systems. One is high quality public services and robust social welfare systems that result in no one living in crippling poverty in the richest country on Earth.
The other is the breakup of the family, indentured servitude, jail and castration for everyone who falls below the poverty line.

Poverty isn't necessary, and social programs benefit everyone involved in society. What about this don't you get?
