Hey guys, some of you might remember rifty's Euro 2008 competition and how fun it was so I thought I'd do one for the World Cup, if people are interested. All credit goes to rifty for making up the idea. The concept is simple, you guess the results of each game in the world cup and people compete to get first on the leaderboard and to get as many correct predictions as possible.
The points work out as, 5 for a correct result, 10 for the correct score. The second round and quarter final games will be worth 7 and 14, the semis will be 8 and 16 and the final 10 and 20. All you have to do to is post your predictions. The fixtures in the next three days are as follows: June 11th: South Africa v Mexico Uruguay v France June 12th: South Korea v Greece Argentina v Nigeria England v U.S.A June 13th: Algeria v Slovenia Serbia v Ghana Germany v Australia Have fun playing :) |

at 6:35 PM, Saturday June 26, 2010 EDT And by the way, 21 points for a correct score is just ridiculous. Keep it at 14.
No bullshit just predicting 90 minutes. YOU guess the FINAL score, extra time or not. |

at 9:14 PM, Saturday June 26, 2010 EDT Andro, you don't. You just guess who moves on following penalties.

at 8:53 AM, Sunday June 27, 2010 EDT well the point increase is 21 because 14 was just for the 90 minutes because i forgot about extra time and penalties, you have way less of a chance of guessing the score this way so obviously the reward for guessing should be higher

at 9:18 AM, Sunday June 27, 2010 EDT V, you should get same points if you call 2-1, or 2-1 (AET). It's the same score. Same result. I don't see what the big deal is.
