Hey guys, some of you might remember rifty's Euro 2008 competition and how fun it was so I thought I'd do one for the World Cup, if people are interested. All credit goes to rifty for making up the idea. The concept is simple, you guess the results of each game in the world cup and people compete to get first on the leaderboard and to get as many correct predictions as possible.
The points work out as, 5 for a correct result, 10 for the correct score. The second round and quarter final games will be worth 7 and 14, the semis will be 8 and 16 and the final 10 and 20. All you have to do to is post your predictions. The fixtures in the next three days are as follows: June 11th: South Africa v Mexico Uruguay v France June 12th: South Korea v Greece Argentina v Nigeria England v U.S.A June 13th: Algeria v Slovenia Serbia v Ghana Germany v Australia Have fun playing :) |

(and there is only one result before the PK, no matter in which time they strike the goals..., or we were guessing at what minute or what period of the match they did the goals?) |

The rules remain the same for the next round and the scores are the same as the second round. Repeating again for those who didn't see it the last time ''Ok how this works is it is 7 for the correct result and 21 for the correct score, but in getting the correct score you have to pick either a score in normal time, a score in extra time, or a game decided by penalties so it will be difficult to get that massive point bonus'', the reason I consider extra time and normal time scores to be different is that it makes it more challenging, you have to earn those 21 points. AMO you must state whether the result is the result at the end of normal time or at the end of extra time, thanks. |
