there's a lot of talk about this site needing extra moderation, so i figured that the best way to figure out who is going to be the next mod would be to democratically elect one. in my opinion, a mod should be someone who can...
-be able to identify PGA -know how the higher table politics go -have sufficient knowledge of the game -be able to look at cases objectively -not be afraid to ban people (with sufficient evidence) -be rational (dont ban someone for kicking you out of a tourney) -should not be involved in the monthly competition Kdice has many quality candidates i'll just throw a couple out there, MadHat_Sam, montecarlo, dasfury, kam, and im sure there are tons of others. anyway two remarkable things in the other thread (which are still very valid): 1) The only people outside of Ryan that have the knowledge or experiance to be a mod are people that couldn't be trusted to use that power fairly... Regarding moderators I personally don't think Vermont would be a good choice not because of his capability for the job but he isn't really on the site much anymore. We need someone who is unfazed by the top table politics and will not be biast towards his friends. My personal vote without a shadow of a doubt would go to MasterDD as he is easily one of the fairest players on the site, is a regular and its my belief he will be unaffected by bias towards top players. He is by far the best candidate for the job so my vote goes to MasterDD (obviously) |
