Most of the old players who used to play the top level tables have left. the player culture has changed, leaving a void which was filled by inexperienced, culture-less noobs that make kdice now unbearable. It has mostly turned into vflag-fests and mindless flame wars. this post is not about tournaments.
To the old players: why are you still here? To the new guys: what is enjoyable at the style of game you play? |

at 12:15 PM, Tuesday March 10, 2009 EDT "I wish someone would help me with defining these words. Define fair!"
Here to help you. "In the situation I gave earlier should:" "A)1st accept the offer of giving 2nd (rational) B)1st refuse the offer of giving 2nd (irrational) c)the 8-stack should flag out 7th (irrational)" well. fair would be the rest of the table realising this and say i flag 2nd and according and give the 8 stack 7th. If you want kdice to be a fair place. It's always that people whine about afirst not being fair but thats the point. the rules which are going to be followed are those propagated by the winning players. So if you want to make any change to the way kdice is played, then do it while winning. not in forum not when losing. so back to your example. If that 8 stack tries to take first hostage its up to the table if they allow it or not. So would you please stop complaining about _them_ and tell us how you convince the table not to support lame blackmail. because until then i'm gonna do exactly that. blackmailing my way into scores. Why would 2nd place flag 2nd when the 8-stack bomb will make him 1st? |

at 1:39 PM, Tuesday March 10, 2009 EDT Now the guys from one group complain because another group is doing something they don't like. Because some don't follow their made-up rules of etiquette. Tell me something new.
It seems that all the crap from the high tables spread over the other tables and something went really wrong during translation. Somehow it got worse. It was definitely better when they spent their time in their little club and did not annoy much the rest of players. Said that, I have to say I agree with Thraxle. vflags suck. But you should be used to this. It is just another attempt to bend the rules. Early flags are forbidden. That is a rule the game tries to enforce. We did hate ninja flags. Remember that? You kids are wasting time worrying too much about useless points, empty fame, "friends" you will never meet, made-up rules, childish interpretations of fairness. Soon somebody will also talk (again) about honor and we will see all these new and old "honorable" players showing that they actually have the sense of honor of a mobster. p.s. I also agree with Mr Kreuzfeld. I also fear that 4+ players will make random moves? Good Lord! How terrifying! It was certainly much better when we knew what the other players were going to do. Wasn't it? |
