Ryan banned me 1 round away from winning a Tourney

It was down to 2 players in the tourney.

I had 4000+ points, and Cod4, the second place player had 82 points. I was just about to win the tourney, and then the kdice web page stops responding. I try to refresh, and it's still not working.
Then I try loading it through a IP hider, and IT WORKS. MY IP JUST GOT BANNED. WTF???1?!?

So i pull a new IP, login, and now the guy who had 82 points to my 4000, now has 4000 and I have 400.

Ryan was in the game watching, not talking and refused to tell me why I was banned.

I ABSOLUTELY DID NOT CHEAT, NO PGA, EVERYTHIGN WAS IN GAME. I know Bomb was watching, he can attest to this.

So Ryan I think you owe me and the kdice community an explanation, why did you give my 1st place to cod4?

jaquibosox, it also seems that you are not familiar with how tournament scoring works. Different scoring calls for different strategies.

While leaving a lower flag in a regular kdice game usually makes sense, because of how the scoring works, it doesn't make sense in a Tourney game.

Think of american football, when a team has a chance to kick a field goal, the players line up differently than they would if the team was going for a touchdown.

Would you be crying foul when the defending team uses the best defending position for a field goal rather than the more usual positions used for defending against a touchdown?

ck, a proper nfl analogy would be like the final week of the regular season. only 12 teams are allowed into the playoffs. lets say on the last week of regular season, you play a team that is a very weak 9-6 team, and if they win, they get in... and you get to play them in the first round of the playoffs. however, if you pwn them, they dont make the playoffs, and another 10-6 team, which is stronger and currently starting to fire on all pistons, will make the playoffs, and you know you will have to play them in round 1. this is the grey area. let the wimpy team win so they make the playoffs cus you know you have a very good chance of beating them. if you beat them, then you have to play the strong team that has a good chance of eliminating in the first round of the playoffs.

anyways, i think we would all love to hear what Ryan thinks about the grey-area tourney strategy of when youre in 1st, and two people are fighting for 2nd, and both have flagged to you and been nice all game... is it okay to attack the one with more points because that means in the next round you will have a greater advantage?

tbh, i feel this strategy is bogus. it just feels... unfair, at least to me. i try to not base my tactics based on what future points of next round will be.

After playing in a couple tourneys since I was banned for using the same tournament logic, I can tell you that a lot of players are currently using tournament logic.

a player even admits to using it here:

http://kdice.com/discussion/topics/44768338

I tell other players not to play like that because Ryan did ban me for doing it, but I'm generally ignored, because essentially I am powerless to do anything. It seems like the only time players might actually respect this is if Ryan is present in the room

i think the reason that 'tournament logic' is becoming rampant is because the people who support it as obvious are VERY LOUD in the chatbox/gallery when saying this is an obvious strategy. i see players teaching each other every tourney about this, and the new players all say,..... oooooOOOOOoooohhhhh, that makes sense.

this is exactly what Ryan doesn't want to happen, older players telling newer players how to be unfair, which causes the whole community to become unfair. (we still dont know if Ryan has branded 'tournament logic' as unfair yet, so i might be putting words in his mouth). really, we just need to stand up for what we think is fair i guess ck. and wait to hear from Ryan :)

yes we need an official policy on this, but currently the precedent set by Ryan (unless he plans on admitting that banning me was a mistake) is that tournament logic is not OK to use.

Wrong. Time after time you misread what i say. Stop causing friction and igniting mindless arguments with alts.

Let me think back 2 days.......

A tourney by chance....

A certain player is clear, and easy winner.... oh yeah it would be me

At that table is a another player named Cute Kittens.....

This player says, in desperation not to get 6th or 7th from more dominant position of mine..... "i am good with three"

After being allowed to survive, despite previous lying, Cute kittens builds up and grows. Then suggests a 4 versus 1 rebellion.

90% plus win rate in 8 v 8 cute kittens who survived based on promise to flag makes me 5th and out of tourney

Cute Kittens is games top, by far, #1 snake. That being said she shouldnt be banned, just ever ever trusted. A true snake who lies like a democrat

Yellow Fin i totally agree

'I ABSOLUTELY DID NOT CHEAT, NO PGA, EVERYTHIGN WAS IN GAME'

Well you do thats the thing, and many players know it as mentioned already

CuteKittens: 3000
Cod4: 1400
Bradley: 900

^^^^^^^^^^^

I want to express the point gap more clearly when it's heads up for the last two you use over 1400 for 2nd, so that means i would have to win 3 games heads up in a row? this wasn't going to happen as the next round i got the suck ass start and ck would've won for sure and that would've been it i would've said 'gg' and been happy at coming 2nd. I wasn't expecting first place at this stage.

So basicly the point gap meant nothing, your just using that for a lame excuse for either

A) You simpily didnt like me
B) You were generally being selfish and didn't care about the end result
C) You wanted to cause friction in the game and get attention

Enough Said i don't think i need to post anything else in here it's getting old

CuteKittens you cry because Ryan banned you from winning ONE tournament!? From your posts here (and from the consistently despicable way you play and chat in game), I think that you are a dangerous psycho with real anger issues. Consider yourself fortunate that Ryan didn't ban you for life!
