there were 4 of us left on a tourney table, this is round 3 of the tourney, iirc.
i'm 1st. i told the rest of the people on the table they could fight for whatever position they liked, except 1st obviously. after this was going on for a while, i noticed that if player1 was 4th, i get more points because he has more points to lose. i stepped in and made player1 4th. nobody got kicked out of the tourney, but player1 lost more points, obviously. it was pointed out to me that this is what got cutekittens's tourney canceled. is this correct? is it not allowed to interfere once i told people they can fight for position? |

at 4:06 AM, Monday November 10, 2008 EST I think i was in that game, and I dont think you cheated.
You should be donkey punched asking me to stop killing #4, so #4 could fight #3. Then after I let them pass through me you didnt do anything when Cutekittens and her PGA instead both tried to 2v1 me. The game was rank with PGA because Cutekittens was in it, but I think you were just an unwitting witness who lacked the resolve to stop the corruption. Anyway nighttime games are rank with corruption, especially at the higher level tables. |

at 4:11 AM, Monday November 10, 2008 EST no i saw the table you did nothing wrong, some people got hurt because things didn't go exactly there way but hey its a game. course im gonna get accused of a pga later on by some of the same people so hell its a freaking dice game, and let it be known for the record i have no pga's i was a lucky benificary of a guy who played tourny logic and killed the guy with the most points. And then i apparently pga'd cuz i was offered a truce where if i didn't take it i was split and out of the tourny. so anyways to everyone ITS A FREAKING GAME ONLINE WITH DICE. CHILL OUT AND HAVE SOME FUN.

in that game i decided i'm completely staying out of it because of what happened the previous game. |

at 6:49 AM, Monday November 10, 2008 EST lowering the player from whom you had the most to gain was strategically very good, and a good tournament tactic. however considering you had already stated you wouldn't interfere i think you shouldn't have gone back on your word. am i right in thinking this is what CK was punished for?

at 2:37 PM, Monday November 10, 2008 EST What I want is consistency. If a player A does X, and gets Y punishment.
Then when player B does X, they should also get Y punishment. I did X, rigor did X, I got Y, rigor gets ? Either Ryan made a mistake in disciplining me, or he is acting arbitrarily and capriciously. |

at 3:21 PM, Monday November 10, 2008 EST ck, Ryan has a rhyme to his reason. both of us were made examples of. Ryan does not have the energy nor time to enforce these examples in every tourney (and regular game) every day, every month (kdice isnt even his main job).
yes, you can bitch about how he penalized us before he told anyone what his list of fair and unfair was (i bitched about this too, but im over it now). the good thing is now we have that set of guidelines defining fairness. now, when we see others committing the same sins that we did, it is our responsibility to inform those people that what they are doing is against the guidelines of fairness, and point them to the guidelines. this way, Ryan doesnt have to police every move of every game. now we as a community can get one step closer to self-policing. sure, we dont have the authority to enforce the law and penalize actions, but we DO have the power to warn the offenders, and advise them to change their ways. also we have the power to tell other fair players about the offender, if the offender refuses to change his/her ways. so in the end, we are progressing to a better place. its just that a few of us had to sacrifice some points since we were made examples of at the beginning of the process. i bet if we move on from being pissed about being made an example of... then i bet Ryan will give us our forum posting rights back (please, Ryan?). |
