What should be done?

Looks like every time I think I'm finished with changes and things look stable the KDice people find another hole to exploit.
I agree that you shouldn't be able to buy first place (even though that little race paid for the server for last month). The reason it was possible was that it was a bug introduced when kdice moved to its own server and member bonuses were added. I knew about the bug but didn't think it would be used this way. As for bomb being played buy multiple people I can't think of any solution to this. I don't think there's any way to prevent this. Although the leagues idea is probably the best step. That idea is where different leagues of play are introduced that have different play parameters. For example, 16 dice, ELO scores, or a maximum number of games in a day. Its a cool idea but kdice needs probably 10x the population to make it useful. Anyway, just posting to get your thoughts on how last months top 3 should be handled. |

Paying for points is a bug, it's not a feature. Where on this site can you read about it? It's an exploit, not a feature. There is a huge difference. Bomb doesn't read the forums. A new player doesn't know it was even possible. I heard about it, but I never knew for a fact whether it was true or not. So did thousand of other players. |

Anyways, back to the topic. Fix the bug of buying pts, but leave the standings as they are. Its sorta your fault wish got the chance what he did, but it wasnt illgegal, so he actually WON the month. At least that's what i think |

at 1:05 PM, Thursday May 1, 2008 EDT Just as kdice is evolving so are the players. Most of us are well educated, we know how to think on many different levels. I don't know why creative thinking and outside the box actions would call for a stripping of medals.
If you take away anything after a month is over, without proving that cheating, in the sense that everyone is defining it, occurred. Everyone on this site is always looking for that extra angle to win, a door to open, or a tactic to give them the upper hand. I found this months angle, so did DG, so did dasfury, batmandan, johnson213, the list might go on even further if I could remember all of the people who donated to get the extra 2,500 points. I dont think you yelled at Cody when he gave you 100$. Why make the example out of me? I think you should leave the results as they stand, and close the loophole. Stripping players for cheating is respectable, stripping players who used all of the resources and means possible to compete highly and win would be unjust. |

Wait, no, I actually think that's cheating. |

at 1:39 PM, Thursday May 1, 2008 EDT God damn, stop defending your bullshit like it's somehow more acceptable than buying the stars. At least Wish and DG help support the site by doing it. All you or bomb or the rest of the parking lot attendants did was exploit another option made available (by the fact that there's nothing stopping you from sharing accounts).
