Perhaps it isn't particularly clever, but I also can't imagine why you would take that as an insult, rather than, say, a bemused observation (which it wasn't, as I still maintain that I was asking about your published books--which may have been a mistake due to me mixing you up with another player). Fingerbib thought he was "outing" me when he started chatting to me with "hi oakcliff"--an old name I have never denied using and have no reason to deny using it in the old days. In those days, as I do now, I posted reviews of chat jerks like Fingerbib. So Fingerbib smiles and smirks as he types "hi oakcliff" to someone named "3.14159"--that is known as "guilty knowledge" and cannot be explained away by his lame, weaselly excuses. There is just no reason to bring up "oakcliff" and mention writing books UNLESS you are a guilty chat jerk and web boy. So while Fingerbib was "catching" me as 3.14159 AND oakcliff, he was also revealing himself for what he is. Also, how would anyone but a guilty chat jerk connect what Fingerbib calls "YOUR lengthy reviews" (my emphasis) written by "oakcliff" to someone named "3.14159"? The answer: Fingerbib is an old chat jerk with a new name. QED. The chat jerks and web boys whose words I post in their own reviews always HATE it, and they often complain about the length of the reviews. For Fingerbib and the other chat jerks, it is okay to spend time being a chat jerk, but a quick copy-and-paste of THEIR OWN WORDS into their reviews? That is a cause for whining and crying on their part, just as Fingerbib does here. If the review was "book length" then it is only because Fingerbib and the other chat jerks like to be chat jerks at great length especially when called out for it--that REALLY upsets them.
