I basically lucked him when we were 60/40 by dice and territories, and got third. Where most people would have been frustrated he wittily commented that in retrospect it may have been better to truce against someone else.

However on reflection, you was clear and concise on your reasons for farming me and quite honest. That no one has a right to receive a flag request, that a contract occurs, when you state your taking a few. The one point I would bring up is give the player a chance to agree to this before you do it.
