Keep in mind, Majority was for war in AFGHANISTAN. We had gotten attacked by a group headquartered there, something had to be done about that. Iraq got tacked on, I don't believe polls EVERY showed a majority desire for war in Iraq. Our leadership, however, is more and more disconnected from the actual will of the people, especially the Big Business Republicans that were running the country at the time of the invasion of Iraq.

The problem with US foreign policy is that for a long time, the only tool we had was a hammer (military force). When the only tool you have is a hammer, all problems get treated like nails.

Hell, there are some who wanted us to send troops to Ukraine and force a showdown with Russia. It's become, in some circles, the default response to any problem.... "send in the troops!"

Current administration is trying to change that, but it's a big uphill battle.

Yes, the Jewish lobby in the US is very powerful, but it's clearly not running the country. If any one group can be said to be calling the shots, it's the Fundamentalist Christian lobby, which is also why we are so friendly with Israel.

In slang we call them cowboys here cause they are fast on the triger like on wild west... Long term its pretty bad policy. Obama made baby steps for now, US should keep it that way. and bout loby's, check how many high ranked persons, economicaly or politicians are free masons or their fathers was free masons

Eh. There are social clubs like that all over the place. The difference is, the Masons have been around long enough, they were bound to have some famous members. Additionally, during the Enlightenment, membership in these sorts of societies often took the place of church membership.

The Masons are still around of course, one of my fellow Aikido students is a master of his lodge, but it's mostly just a social club and charity organization anymore. All of their "secrets" can be found these days if you just look hard enough online.

Crimea was always part of Russia. Stop looking at history through the lens of the last 30 years only.

Fatman I'm not anti Russian and more importantly I do not want war with Russia. I don't think the US could defeat Russia in any real sense. I think we have more in common than we do apart especially when compared to our common enemy.

CD: LOL dude Obama = Bush II = Clinton = Bush I
Get a clue.

Russia fears for the world order. It wants to be world power.
Let them have Ukraine as a satellite state. Who gives a shit..

I'd rather have a strong Russia on my side.
