Community input: let's reflect on the new moderators

We all know that Jurgen carried the can on his own for far too long so I think the decision to add two new active moderators was a good one.

We are now 1 month down the track so it's probably a good chance for some community reflection. Clearly there have been some negative posts but I'm sure there are positives too. How do you think they are travelling? What have they done well? What areas do you think need improvement?

Let's bear in mind that the function of the moderators is to make the site a better place for everyone.

This isn't a thread designed to just bash the new moderators either so please provide constructive feedback only.

More (and better quality) cheating, a little less noise, likelihood of my ever buying a membership now down to 0.

@Slinus: Who will speak for those that don't have a voice of their own?

Your statement is pretty harsh.

Everyone has a voice. The key is to use it.

(Don't bring up babies or heavily handicapped people now please.)

I had no intention to do so. In addition you already did that falsifying the generality of your statement. Thanks for making an argument so easy.

Furthermore it shouldn't be too hard to accept that many people do not have the ability to raise their voice to a level that might be heard at places able to help them. The starving masses in any country plagued by hunger might serve as an example.

I thought we were talking KDice. Starving people what?

Also check your privilege.

I've been corrected years ago that this forum is about any topic anybody might care for (e.g. American Football, Baseball, American elections, ...). It is by no means limited to kdice and hardly ever focussed on it. In addition you may see kdice as a social studies experience well reflecting society and how it would look if some psychos gained too much power or if there was no control. In that sense, if you really only want to talk about kdice, please state so.

As a small question, how does this line of yours "(Don't bring up babies or heavily handicapped people now please.)" fit into talking kdice exclusively?

Those that are set -post and -chat do not have a voice. And some of the decisions for bans and penalties have been causing discussions. So there are people without a voice that can't be heared even in kdice, may they deserve it or not.

The way this forum is organized is why it sucks and I don't use it. Once in a while I check the front page between games, thats it.
-Add a search function by user and/or by date.
-Add Reddit style upvote/downvote system.
Why post topics here, when they will just be lost in oblivion?

TL;DR-forum sucks, doesn't allow voices to be heard
