He basically begged me to make this thread for him so I will.
It is now considered sexist to use the word "Cunt" in any context even if youre not insulting someone and will be banned with -chat if said. The reason is that it's sexist to say it and the reason that it's sexist is cause: "google it" The reason saying dick isn't sexist but cunt is: "i dont feel like having this conversation anymore" What is sexism? Well I spent my entire career on kdice not paying attention to anything girls said but I guess that's fine. If someone does google sexism maybe someone can help me where it says that saying cunt is gender prejudice while calling someone a dick is just a laughable matter. -------------------------- Int then agreed he doesn't care about sexism he just wants to ban people who use cunt. which isn't anywhere in the rules that you can ban someone because of foul language. I can see if it was harassing but if I lose a 4v2 roll and almost get banned for saying cunt because of it then I'd like to understand why |

"Cunt" is not a sexist word. It's not the same as n****r or f****t. These words specifically refer to a group of people (or a cig or some sticks, I get it). Using body parts/functions as swears or insults are just vulgar, not offensive. You also can't claim that something is offensive just because someone says they are offended by it. I am completely against insulting people in the chat box, whether it's vulgar or not. I'm just as "offended" by someone calling another person an idiot as I am when they say cunt/ass sucker/fuckwad/douche nozzle/pussy berries/cock baron/ebola ridden kitten rabies rapist/bad person. This site is mostly adults. I'd prefer you ban children before banning swear words. TL;DR Let us say fun vulgar phrases. Ali I love you, but cunt isn't offensive. |

He has used his mod powers to stamp out his own personal bug bear. What's more is he's now implemented an explicit rule about it. I didn't think that was the function of a moderator but jurgen supports him (blindly) so what do I know. I would prefer if there was some kind of referendum instead of just one person laying down a law for the rest of us to live by. I think if we surveyed kdice, an overwhelming majority would say they do not care if people say the word cunt. Sadly, integrals opinion is the one which counts in this instance. Sadly he's also not prepared to comment on this thread and explain his decree. |
