The lag hack

It exists, the mods know it exists, Ryan (if he cares) would know it exists. Why will the mods do nothing about it?

I have never been DDoS'ed. I never lagged out without knowing what's up. I played quite a few games and if the "top players" used it, shouldn't I have experienced it, too, Captain? Or would you say they reprieve me, because I'm so lovable? I'm pretty sure that is not the case.
Stop with your pathetic bullshit already and fix your crappy internet connection.

You seem to have a lot at stake arguing that it can't possibly happen. Not even Jurgen denies it. Why is this so important to you? The "low stakes, so who'd cheat" attitude of the mods is precisely the reason so much cheating goes on on 0 and 100 tables -- folks know the mods aren't looking, they're busy protecting the meaningless points of the true desperados. And why do they do it? Shits and giggles -- they're mostly easily amused morons.

So there you have it, folks: other players can make you lag out, and the owner and mods of this site aren't going to do anything about it. Have fun!

Of course DDoS is real and if someone does it, there is not much to nothing a mod can do about it. But it is very rarey or even never done nowadays and I highly doubt that Captain has even been hit. I rather suspect that he just can't afford a working internet connection.

We can rule out local ddos attacks on users. The attacker would need your IP address. It would also appear to render other websites offline to the user. The times I have seen the problem, all other players have been effected indicating it is a server problem.

I would rule out an attack on the server as you would expect the site to gradually slow down rather than go from working to non-working. My best bet would be a bug in Ryan's code.
