1st i not in dublin in other county,and i dont understand what this has to do with this,foul language is different from racism and 2 compare the 2 is a bit odd,in europe at this time racism a problem within sports and socail network sites and people r even being prosecuted for the same comments so for u 2 take it lightly is strange,if the site cant handle this sort of problem then there mite be a bigger problem.ive been banned because they think im chiefchief and have been told there not much they can do because he took the screen shot and gave me link cause he couldnt post,jumping to conclusion maybe but a bit more professionalism from the owner of this site mite help.

I still agree with what I wrote back then and not much has changed: there will be some degree of leeway but what needs to be banned or warned will be. We do have more mods now so I guess the risk of getting warned or banned is higher now. We agreed to give gentle warnings before handing out one week bans unless there's clear intent to hurt or unless we know someone has been reading the forum so he should be aware of the rules. I don't see that many people getting warned or getting banned, only people who deserve it, so I think we're doing pretty well.

Let me also add that a gentle warning is not a ban. It's no problem that some people aren't fully aware that some words aren't allowed so that's why we would give a warning (more like an explanation that it's not an appropriate word). It's not that difficult to say ok cool, np and go on with having fun.

Is it so hard to live in a world where reasonable measures are being taken to prevent sexism, racism, gayhate, bullying, harrassment etc? Trust me, the real world works like this too unless you think you will get away with drawing dicks on your exam or application papers, calling your teacher a cunt or a faggot, openly making fun of your boss and calling him gay, saying hi nigger to the bus driver when you get on the bus, putting a porn picture as avatar on your linkedin or fb page?

I'm not attacking you personally here flagsrweak, I just think we have discussed the matter enough now. The mod policy is clear and if you're still in doubt where the line is, it's your own fault for not understanding common sense rules. In that case, better be safe than sorry and just don't use any offensive words and then you'll be completely safe.
