no offense, Loki, but perhaps you didn't understand my previous posts.

i tried to reinvent myself. i tried all kinds of different gameplay styles. it didnt matter. even with a ~400 ppg on regular tables, with a couple hundred games played throughout the month, i still never had a shot at getting gold.

maybe im missing something obv. so please, advise away. how can someone get 1st on this site without abusing the member tournies? im open to suggestions.

I agree with montecarlo. Is a lot of advantage for those who are members. At least they should not take part in regular tournaments. I became a member for a couple of months to play at high tables and get me doubt the benefits of membership. At times it's a little embarrassed to have so many points without participating much as I did in April. (thanks translate :P)

Members is pay to win.

It's really only pay to win because the site traffic has dropped so low that it's much easier to sit members with few/no other players and that's free points.

Back when 10-20 members would play a tourny you at least had to cheat a bit + pay to win constantly.

I still think this site could be saved and do quite well...I really do wish Ryan would pass it onto someone willing to get it moving again.

back in the day, the player population was large enough that there were constant 5k games going all the time, and very early in the month too. sadly, the population now is only enough to sustain 5k games towards the end of the month, and then fewer and farther between.
