I did not respond to the video, and the two "articles" were so short that they are more like headlines, that took like 2 min to read them each |

at 3:55 PM, Monday April 25, 2011 EDT I don't have any evidence either way Thraxle, but the people you despise I think make up a small percentage of the lower class in this country. This is why your comments often seem so disheartening to the rest of us, you have a legitimate gripe with a certain segment of the population that while it may waste some resources is not the majority of the lower class that benefits from government programs.

at 3:57 PM, Monday April 25, 2011 EDT So thrax, you agree that people that dont have to work for their money will do nothing to improve their social standing. I am glad we are in agreement. This is the very reason wealth doesn't trickle down. Rich people have money and therefore don't need to do anything to maintain their wealth.
Consumption on the other hand is what drives job creation. The people who are creating the jobs are the people that are trying to become wealthy. The wealthy have no aspirations to work hard so that they may become rich because they already are. They simply relax and let their money do the work (I'm sure you've heard that adage). Ultimately even if the poor that receive benefits from social programs don't turn their lives around they will have contributed to the national consumption, where a rich person would not, and as a result they would have helped promote job creation. Even if they themselves are a piece of shit. But I am glad we are in agreement about the motivational factory for people that don't need to work for their money. |
