Do you really think that Republicans are that different from Democrats? Obviously on the surface you have your major differences in ideology, but the fact that you support Obama so loyally and think that Republicans are so very evil makes me think you are quite ignorant. Did you not notice the whole launching 122 missiles into Libya thing? What's up with that imperialist bullshit? Oh and how bout the whole economic "stimulus" plan? Can you really argue that it was any different than Bush's bailout? Throughout his campaign, Barack emphasized how he would put the money into the hands of the people, not the other way around. What about all his talks about moving away from the heated bipartisanship and bringing about cooperation to advance our national agenda? Bottom line is that Obama is full of shit. Everything he says is a load, and if you don't see past that, you are a moron. You guys need to get over your political parties, they mean nothing. Start voting on the issues.
Anyways, I know this hasn't been the most articulate post in the world, but I'll leave with you a quote from 2007: ?The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation. History has shown us time and again, however, that military action is most successful when it is authorized and supported by the Legislative branch.? I'll let you guess who said it. |

:P this is an impossible question. lets assume cause is before effect. that means that there is no before time. in some quantum dynamics hypothisis cause is not neccesarily before effect, therefore the cause of the beginning of time, could have happend after the beginning of time, (if I have understood it correcly) lol, you did not expect that answer, did ya? |

give this kid like 10-20 years and we will have all the answers we need :D But actually, I hope this kid leaves some scientific mysteries for Monte's sons and for my own boy so they can also get their Nobel prize |

Satan (or Lucifer) an angelic being of pure light, was dismissed from his regency of the universe and that post will be filled by Jesus, of a race of moist, smelly, hairy humans derived from base materials. What greater humiliation could Lucifer be given? |

I am skeptical of the Flood having happened as described in Genesis because there are continuous human records in various places going back further than the time in which the Flood is supposed to have happened. |

at 3:00 PM, Tuesday March 29, 2011 EDT skrum, its just ive always considered jesus to be more than simply a man. when he said, 'before abraham was, I AM', that was basically him stating that he IS God. in which case, he is not taking satan's empty place; actually, he has always been and will always be much much higher than satans old standing in heaven.

at 3:04 PM, Tuesday March 29, 2011 EDT yah, 2 views on the flood:
1) it wasnt as magnificent as genesis told it to be, i.e. it was a local flood, which geology supports happened around that time in mesopotamia. 2) an MIT professor proposed this interesting theory about the speed of light slowing down from the big bang until present day. and if you follow his exponential decay rate of the speed of light, a lot of biblical 'times' line up with a lot of scientific support. it was an intriguing read, not saying i agree with him or not. but was quirky, that methuselah's lifespan of 969 years would make sense, dinosaurs being around during day 5 of creation would make sense, and pangaea breaking apart would fall right in line too. i forget what other events he mentioned. |

at 3:31 PM, Tuesday March 29, 2011 EDT many events in the bible such as the great flood and the 7 plagues of egypt have historical events in it and there surely must have been a historical jesus with great plans for his followers. But so many stories have been retold (it took centuries before some parts were written down for the first time), rewritten (editted, some early parts that religious leaders didn't like anymore even deleted), badly translated... that it's hard to know what is fact and what is just parts of a good novel.
That's why I have problems with citing from an English translation of a book that has been rewritten over and over by people with power (and not always having the truth or the best interest of the people in mind). It's not like the book ends with : The End, signed, God |

at 3:48 PM, Tuesday March 29, 2011 EDT Ancestral texts can be reconstructed in a manner similar to junk DNA analysis. An error made in a manustscript is likely to be transmitted to copies made from it, like a mutation, but will be absent from manuscripts that have a different "ancestor". So working backward in time, more and more of the errors can be removed.

and this with the speed of light slowing down is one of those in that category, even if a few of the numbers will match, most of the rest of the physical laws will go to shit. this guy explains abit http://www.magicdave.com/ron/Does%20the%20Speed%20of%20Light%20Slow%20Down%20Over%20Time.html |
