new mod recommendation: cool g

this is based on the assumption that we should have as many mods as we can get, given that they are trustworthy.

he plays a lot of games, he prides himself on his reputation, and hes actually not too much of a pointwhore (i would know). he says he'll be around for a long time yet. i think he will be impartial. and i think he will do a good job policing not just the top top table drama, but also the rigorous ins and outs of daily modship.

we need more mods, what with there always being a handful M.I.A. because modship is a thankless brutal job. the larger rotation we can get, the better. and cool g would be a good addition to the rotation imo.

Sam, I'm glad to hear that. I don't pay attention to a lot of the goings on in regards to bannings and such anymore. You ban someone, they have 3 alts they play anyways, so I just stopped paying attention.

the problem with anonymous mods is a more limited authority. Sure it would be easier to play bad cop if being protected by anonimity.

But you can't use your main's social network as well to gain info. And people will always criticise your actions more by saying you hide behind a secret account.

i think you should pass some intelligence test before you become a mod.

Good idea chase, here's a good test:

"Would you be motivated to use your free time to work for someone who lacks both the skill and the energy to run a small web-based game? Notice that you would have to work for no money while said someone would have the money for no work.

( ) Yes
( ) No"

Prospective mods would be required to fail the test (congrats Loob and Kakku for passing it).

I also think anyone that has been modded in the past should be ineligible.

I disagree CD. Not all the modding in the past has been legitimate. see: fiero, quickcut
