"KAKKU MAN's LUCK CHARTS & AVERAGES" greasemonkey plugin BETA release

"intended mainly for superstitious people with wide screens"

what it's intended to do: to give all kinda data on which the player can base his superstitious believes.

in basic mode it shows 3 charts on the right:
- the luck percentages as ryan calculates them, as well as luck only for attack/defend rolls per player *
- the dice average of the last 25 rolls for all players or user only
- the dice average of attack/defend rolls per player *

in extended mode it shows more charts on the right:
- the roll average per type of rolls (user only)
- the dice average per type of attack/defend rolls (user only)

and some more on the left side:
- win/draw/loose per +/- rolls, after 15 rolls it will depict ratio.
- same as above but user only
- luck percentages as ryan calculates them, as well as luck only for attack/defend rolls per player *
- win/draw/loose for attack/defend per player
- game-history x3: shows luck / WDL / roll-average / color compare (coco)
with the option to sort on color or table type AND an option to switch to number mode, which shows number data on enlarged charts

every game you play is recorded, with exception:
- when you change table while playing of game
- when you refresh while playing a game
- when you logged out and back in while playing a game

! be aware that some charts autoscale. those marked with an *
! switching between extended mode and basic will reset charts.. but game history is saved nonetheless

the watcher button allows you to have the charts show data of games you watch.

clicking on the version (top right corner) should send you to the latest version of the script. don't forget to refresh.
also useful to right-click and "copy link location" to share with friends.

! known issues:
- between the moment the game starts and the first roll of the game, wrong data could be shown..
- the 4th chart on the left and the 2nd on the left are flunky.. (but who cares?)
- it is advisable to refresh after you log in with another account. if the url in your browser doesn't tell what table you are on, game data wont be saved to your gamehistory.
- game-hisoty charts in COlor Compare will only work when you have played every color once. but anyway, coco is only useful showing all colors.
- score and placement are not yet implemented in the game-history chart's, but will in some later version
- game history still lacks autoscaling. will come in later version.
- colors are not same everywhere. will come in later version.
- there seems to be some issue with pop-up's (like tourney invite or when saving some picture) that makes it just click .. dunno what is causing this.. i know it sucks

so almost everything works as expected. but it's still beta cause i'm unsure about the following:
- does it lag your game?
- after how many games will the cookies explode and what will happen then?
- cookies are supposed to expire at the first of the month just before the KDice month starts, but do they really?
- how does it fit in everybody's browser/screen?
- which charts are utterly useless?
- which charts are missing and needed?
- are the names of the charts understandable or need they some changes?
- any other bugs?

so i need some feedback!!

ideas for extra charts are very welcome, but try to make it understandable (no math/science slang plz.) and use semi-code if you can/needed.
and for those of you who will code their own charts or whatever , feel free to let me know on userscripts.org.
if they are useful i could add them in a next version.

thank you StormLord, for letting me stalk you for silly questions.
thank you cpt.mozz, for original auto-end-turn script from which i started mine.
thank you erection tool, for testing.

Luckiest This Month: 52.5% (over 38 games) plugin helpdesk

plan A @ kakku: so OK, how do I write my own "luck script"?

plan B @ kakku: so OK, how much would it cost me for you to write me a 52,5% luck script?

PS. I don't know if you were specifically aiming for high luck. I did some experiments a few months ago with early flag outs + rolling specific rolls to get an artificially high luck%

I managed to get it to almost 52% but I kept getting kicked off the top 5 list, maybe because of the name and because it were all games ending 6/7 with only a few rounds max

It was hard to flag out at the perfect time since I didn't have your script yet and I had to flag when I assumed (based on roll results) that my luck was highest

kakk thought of another idea

some of the community in the past has asked for different stats for different table levels. prob the ppl most interested would be those that play 500, 2k, 5k. so could you display stats per table level. pretty sure you could acquire table level from the text box, where it says how many points are given out for 7th placement, since different amounts are given for 7th on a 500, 2k, and 5k table. then based on that, keep luck per table level stats and ppg per table level stats, and maybe 1st->7th percentage stats?

would be a decent amount of legwork, and might take up too much space to display. but at least you could display the running totals on the stats page?

thanks again dude.

euh, not sure what you mean monte. did you miss the part where you choose tabletype ? on the stat page, just below the charts, you have dropdown selection for it. ppg and placement will come someday soon. pts and places are already recorded.

make sure you use latest version: 0.10.1

****partly copy pasted from skrums thread***

an interesting stat for tourneys should be average finish each game (corrected for starting # players of course)

***I'll post this part in kakku's luck script thread since he might be able to add this stat before Ryan will (but it needs some discussion on how it would be best to calculate)***

avg finish should be a percentage, so 100% if you get a first place on a table, regardless of how many players were at the table.

So for a 5 player table for example: 1st gets 100%; 2nd 80%, 3rd 60%; 4th 40%, 5th 20%

I wouldn't do 100 - 75 - 50 - 25 - 0 since, if you use that logic at heads up, you have 100 for 1st- 0 for 2nd. So the better players who end up a lot at final 3 or final 2 will have a reduced % because it's normal to finish last a few times (even if you win the tourney in the end).

So for 7 players, you have: 100 86 72 58 43 28 14

thoughts?

P.S. I also would love to see seperate luck%/ att/def and dom for tourneys only, it would be cool to be able to compare stats between regular games and tourney games

another suggestion but not a priority is a merge datafiles tool

I play kdice on 4 different computers and it would be cool if I could put the data of 3 of them on the "main" script datafile now and then to view all data combined

if you make that, it's also half the work done for another tool to add and compare alt data
