So wait,
One of chase's accounts is Onix (those are his words from prior conversations) And Onix is one of Veta's accounts. And Veta won with the Boner Oiler account So either chase won November since chase = onix = veta = oiler? <--- maybe or the chase cabal strikes again? <--likely With chase letting veta use the onix account? or???? The month end winner is point funneled (90% of the time) in the last 2-3 evenings (anyway) when the mods are asleep and few are watching. But this month end seems too uneventful. Especially while disrespecting one of the most pro-active mods on the site in the process with a parody screen name. I feel like I'm missing something. The "something epic" that trendz was talking about in the final week has come true. |

I saw him throw you 2k wins too Jesse so w/e. Just because you say "Oh I don't cheat you are crazy," doesn't make what you have to say any more valid. |

at 7:17 PM, Wednesday December 1, 2010 EST First of all I don't play regularly and I don't have a set of friends I see every month that I could team up with to funnel me. At best I could maybe conjure up one or two PGAs nowadays but even then there's no real point because I can usually truce at least one person in any given game, and that's all I really need to beat 80% of the people that play anyway. I don't think I played more than 5 games this entire month with Jesse and 1 of those was on my alt Rowdyjizell (which itself has like 3 games played ever). I'm friends with Jesse but he just rarely plays the high tables, so we rarely play together.
I'm not sure how you think I "threw" Jesse games, but I can assure you I didn't throw anyone anything and nor would I when trying to win a month. And don't mistake my kind gestures towards other players as some sort of cheating, I play nice with people so they play nice with me in return. If you haven't noticed most of my "game" relies on getting everyone else pissed at everyone but me. |

at 7:39 PM, Wednesday December 1, 2010 EST So there is some interesting stuff you guys are talking about. Some true, some fabricated. But in any event it makes for some good reading. But suggesting that Boner Oiler get stripped for simply committing the same infractions as prior months winners? That's a bit harsh.
Lets just face it. There are 5 tiers of players in this society. The top tier rules month end. Always has, always will. Tier 1 - contenders - play to win and use any tools at their disposal. Chat pawn, PGA, IM, Proxy. And they do win. Tier 2 - Players - those who play as fair as possible and place in the top 50 when they try. And the will occasionally PGA since its unavoidable at times. Tier 3 - Norms - Normal players who play occasionally for fun and who could care less about month end. Tier 4 - Testers - those who play and may try to cheat and to get ahead but fail to place in the top 10 because they suck at cheating (i.e. turkish PGA) They are "testing" the waters and trying to figure thing out. Tier 5 - Noobs It's clear that there are no rules in this game (IN REALITY) and consistent enforcement is impossible. While I don't want to dis-respect any efforts that the mods have made, policing has its limits. The greatest advancement that this game has seen in the past 2 years was the addition of 2k & 5k tables. With the higher tables, the tiers are separated by mid-month and more people can have fun. And isn't that what it's all about? |

at 7:47 PM, Wednesday December 1, 2010 EST Far more cheating goes on in the lower tables, DDDY. As well as prejudice, PGA, PGE, and favoritism, anything below 2000 is just the Wild West in terms of obeying law. The only reason you hear more about cheating on the higher tables is because more people bitch about it. But trust me I stopped playing 500s a long time ago and I am rarely frustrated with how games go now.

at 7:54 PM, Wednesday December 1, 2010 EST So Oiler, I'm not saying that cheating doesn't happen at lower tables, but here's a rhetorical question for you...
What happens to any noob with 6,500 point who sits teal at a 5k? Because of this reality, people must play within their tiers. |
