Debs, what you are referring to is the cute off. It's not new, it has been here on kdice long before roll offs.

I have never ever used it myself but I have seen it plenty of times so this is a good guess of how it works:

Game evolves and I am looking at a safe 1st. There is a cute avatar at the table and she seems to be strugling to get a good finish. 1st starts flirting with the girl, trying to make some good jokes based on the feedback he gets.

The more lols and feedback 1st gets, the higher she finishes. So first it's like a cute off for 6/7, then 5/6, etc. If the avatar is really cute or the girl is really funny or responding well, I try get her to 2 or 3. So the other players don't realise it but the moment 1st starts getting lol responses, they drop a place

so I don't approve of this cute off and again, would never ever use it myself, but I am sure you have already benefitted from it more than you realise Debs
