This wont be the first or the last time illegal, undocumented workers have been naturalized by the US. Look up the '86 Immigration and Reform Act.

I don't care about the 86' reform. Those that ignore history are doomed to repeat it. What would be positive about granting amnesty to a few million Mexicans? Aren't most of the people in this group likely to require entitlement benefits? Won't this create a drag on the economy?

Tell me the benefit of granting amnesty to these folks. Even if they get low-paying jobs, they won't make enough to pay federal taxes. Americans will have to pay for their kids to go to school. They will need healthcare, etc., etc.

How progressive are you? Should we just give away everything we have here in the States in order to benefit the rest of the world? Should we be the doormat to the poor and misplaced people of other nations?

By the way, it was nice to see the Feds finally make a tough choice and choose to cut the Defense budget by closing down two local Joint Forces Command Centers here in southeast VA. It's not surprising that the cut came in a traditionally Republican state while Virginia has a lawsuit going against the Federal Government. Nobody plays politics like Barack Obama!

Oh, and that Defense cut will cost 4,000 CIVILIAN jobs while only sacrificing about 900 military jobs......most of which will just be moved to another location.
