I just got my first paycheck of the year. Much to my surprise I'm having an additional $4.00 a week taken out of my paycheck for federal withholding (and I don't make over $250K per year). Can one of you beautiful democrats explain this to me?

at 3:53 PM, Wednesday January 6, 2010 EST No skrum, our payweek is from Wednesday to Tuesday. Three days from December are included on our first check this year. The same will happen at the end of this year where the 29th, 30th, and 31st of December will be excluded from our 2010 pay.
