Thanks for the vote of confidence fellas, before this topic is spammed more,do you really think our opinions matter?cause i haven't read TCS asking for opinions but people are interested or not...I would like to express my ideas of who and why should be a mod too,but i don't really think Ryan is asking us where he really should.

1. I have expressed my interest and opinions on who should be a mod to Ryan.

2. I think you need some mods that play kdice at the lower levels consitently, if that is a player like holy harlequin then good. As much as the top wants more effective moderation the lower tables need it too.

3. If mods had the ability to modify the RC ratings for players effectively ending unfair team play without removing a players ability to play the monthly competitions would be much more fair. The same could be said of the mods having the ability to dock points.

4. A mod not familiar with the politics of the 2-5k tables should not interject themselves into the situation without consultation of mods or players familiar with the situation.

5. Kehoe's post was awesome, but I disagree with him thinking das would be a bad mod. That said Kehoe made very good points.

6. I think thats all I have.

7. Monte had a very good point about having consistent mod availbility. You want to have enough so that there is always a time when a mod is around to address harasment, racism etc. Actions on PGAs etc. should be more carefuly considerd but I mean the hate speech etc is easy.

8. Yeah now that is all.

true, it comes down to whether Ryan wants more mods or not. my guess is if he hears from the usual suspects (Verms, etc), then he will remain obstinate about not bringing in new mods. but if he hears from the community as a whole that more mods would be a good thing... then that might influence his decision.

but honestly, i think Ryan cares just as much about modding the 0 tables as modding the highest tables and tourneys. whereas some of us mostly hang around the highest tables only, i am guessing he is looking for people who would volunteer their time to watch over the 0 and 100 tables. he seems to really care about the masses more than the upper crust. whereas most of the suggested mods are all concerned about monthly top 25s and PGA squads.

would be nice to hear from Ryan about it all though. or else this is just cycle #17 of the quarterly forum usage of 'lets pat each other on the back and plan how to make this site a lot better and talk a lot about ideals'.

i may disrespect a vflag or backstab for a win but i never knew i was a pot stirrer.

damn you sam. if i hadnt have wasted time re-reading my post before posting it, i wouldve been the first one to bring up the lower-level table-moderation point.

i think i need to use two browser tabs for kdice/discussion now: one for reading, one for writing. YES THAT IS THE ANSWER.

das is not a pot stirrer. he is the spatula that hoe uses to stir the pot.

You guys are going to hate me for this post, but doesn't it seem like all the old-timers are getting onboard to self-police the site? Isn't that what Ryan was looking for in the first place.........the upper echelon of the site caring enough to moderate themselves?

I mean, we are even including some of the great schemers and cheaters of the past in the possible moderation of KDice's future. It's refreshing. I'm hoping this works out into more mods being appointed so all the decision making pressure isn't on me all the time.

The problem isnt the old timers anymore. Its shit bags like fiero that u seem to overlook all the time. Also when gurgi and DLK openly pgad at the end of last month. You do nothing about any of this stuff when multiple good sources see it. Instead you are too busy trolling the forums. Funny how you ban me for something deemed to be a grey area but do not see some of the most obvious things. I like you as a person but I think you are a shitty mod.
