there's a lot of talk about this site needing extra moderation, so i figured that the best way to figure out who is going to be the next mod would be to democratically elect one. in my opinion, a mod should be someone who can...
-be able to identify PGA -know how the higher table politics go -have sufficient knowledge of the game -be able to look at cases objectively -not be afraid to ban people (with sufficient evidence) -be rational (dont ban someone for kicking you out of a tourney) -should not be involved in the monthly competition Kdice has many quality candidates i'll just throw a couple out there, MadHat_Sam, montecarlo, dasfury, kam, and im sure there are tons of others. VOTE OR DIE |

at 8:52 PM, Saturday October 3, 2009 EDT I agree with a lot of what BoneRoller says (good to hear from you man!)
The biggest aid to mods would be the ability to replay games. Then they could just review gameplay & chat to see what went down. I imagine that's a big chunk of work that Ryan is loathe to do, though, so I'm not sure it's a realistic possibility. |

at 7:45 AM, Sunday October 4, 2009 EDT Can someone make a simple list of who wants to be a mod. Then of that list who would make for a good moderator. I'd like to have 2-3 maybe 4 new mod's on here by Friday.

at 11:17 AM, Sunday October 4, 2009 EDT <-----the most authoritative list:
-jijo-a little young, but would definitely be on whenever you needed him, not sure about the objectivity -montecarlo- probably one of the most knowledgeable people in the game, would make a great mod, just read on of his many forum essays to figure out why -MadHat_Sam- hailed by some as one of the two best players to play the game, him, monte and das would be the best equipped to go out and identify/ban the PGAs -fcuku- knows all of the loopholes to the game, doesnt play a lot competitively anymore, but never fails at knowing who is pga with who -vermont- a very knowledgeable old timer, has been around this website as long as anyone, very experienced, would make a great mod -dasfury- the other person hailed as the best kdice player ever besides MadHat_Sam, very knowledgeable about the game, is well equipped to combat PGA and would be a solid mod -kam|k2- should be a mod, very amiable, experienced player. another plus about kam is that he is european, so he could be on whenever the american half of the kdice world is sleeping -masterDD- another potential euro-mod, one of the fairest, PGA free players out there, hasnt been involved with any of the scheming, still he is a very knowledgable player who knows the ins and out of the higher table politics -Bone-Roller- dont know much about BR, havent seen him around in a while, but he is a good player from what i can remember, cant see anything that wouldnt keep him from becoming a mod |

-moondust- very fair player who knows a lot about the inner workings of tournies -mr Kreuzfeld- the exact opposite of PGA, knows the game very well, knows the difference between a silent truce and a PGA, probably the best candidate for mod |
