there's a lot of talk about this site needing extra moderation, so i figured that the best way to figure out who is going to be the next mod would be to democratically elect one. in my opinion, a mod should be someone who can...
-be able to identify PGA -know how the higher table politics go -have sufficient knowledge of the game -be able to look at cases objectively -not be afraid to ban people (with sufficient evidence) -be rational (dont ban someone for kicking you out of a tourney) -should not be involved in the monthly competition Kdice has many quality candidates i'll just throw a couple out there, MadHat_Sam, montecarlo, dasfury, kam, and im sure there are tons of others. VOTE OR DIE |

at 12:19 PM, Monday October 5, 2009 EDT As to master's comments, I lobbied heavily with Ryan to have his points reset for that month (along with a few other docks of points for certain players). I do not have the ability to do so myself, which is why point docking is a VERY IMPORTANT tool for mods to have. But alas, that isn't up to anyone other than Ryan, so it's moot to argue about it.
Back to Yodel: My length of post doesn't make my relevance more or less than anyone else. It's the content that counts. Like me asking you to contribute reasons WHILE telling you to STFU. You would have simply said STFU to me. See the difference? |

at 12:24 PM, Monday October 5, 2009 EDT i'm just wondering does this not defy the purpose of anonymous mods that ryan is looking for or will the people who get the mod position create new accounts?

at 12:28 PM, Monday October 5, 2009 EDT Despite the fact that I originally created an anonymous moderator account, I'm against the idea of all the mods being anonymous. It will be impossible for any of the mods to remain anonymous with the likely outcome being that a handfull of people will know who the mod is while the rest do not. This will lead to increased favortism and bias and god forbid ACCOUNT SHARING. Mods should be known to the community and held accountable to their actions.
