Kdice has changed - for the worse

Most of the old players who used to play the top level tables have left. the player culture has changed, leaving a void which was filled by inexperienced, culture-less noobs that make kdice now unbearable. It has mostly turned into vflag-fests and mindless flame wars. this post is not about tournaments.
To the old players: why are you still here? To the new guys: what is enjoyable at the style of game you play? |

at 7:33 PM, Friday January 7, 2011 EST I think the biggest difference is that people who didn't know how to end a game used to be killed for being dumb and making everyone sit around. Now it is expected to sit around for the end game cause few actually know how to end game in a somewhat quick fashion.
I remember when the flagging system changed to places, and it stirred how people thought about end games. Maybe it is time to do that again. Though not sure if Ryan will ever take the time to change the flagging system substantially again. He seems to like this vflag style of play. |

at 7:21 AM, Saturday January 8, 2011 EST I agree with katy in part. People seem to think flagging means you can't touch them or kill them, and it means they can just stack up. This is especially annoying if they are trapped behind you and get an unfair advantage, if they were next to the player he 1hits them, but they wait 3rounds behind you and become 8stacks then want to go out. If you kill them you're pge/pga, if you don't kill them the other player pge/pga. People should realise flagging isn't immunity to death, but a way to a quick death.
