rnd is acting like an asshole

This is getting worse by the day, and I'm getting fed up with his imature behavior. It's now to the point where just successfully attacking him twice makes him start cursing, threatening and insulting. And I'm not talking about one angry remark in the chat, he will type his BS non-stop for the rest of the game. This happens a lot lately, and not only against me -- so I'm not aledging I'm getting special treatment :)

It's ironic that he reacts like this while his 'smash them' style of play (especially with alternative accounts) consists of crazy expansions where he's attempting many attacks with less dice. While I'm sure the victims are not too happy I didn't see anybody getting out of control in the chat like he does.

Maybe because he wins a lot a games is more painful for him when he loses, but even that can not justify his sore loser to power ten attitude.

I understand that some players put up with this crap rather than face retaliation from him as his close friends (PGA?) network, however this has gone too far for us to just ignore his pathetic antics.

(feedback encouraged and welcomed)

In regularly observing 1900s matches, I've seen him threaten, hollar for flags in incredibly precarious positions, declare he'll go kdice postal on the next player to attack him and carry through on it, etc. However, I've always considered that just rnd being rnd, as opposed to being truly a jackass.

The difference being that genuinely fruit loops players will fall off the cliff and carry on for 10 minutes into racial slurs and gutter speech. Rnd curses up a storm and threatens to kill Chuck Norris, but then carries on again like a still reasonably sane human being. Social pressure and psychological tactics just seem to be a normal part of the rnd arsenal.

I can see how that (the breezy and shameless inclusion of metagame / social tactics) can tweak players who prefer or enjoy straighter gameplay of general rationality in dicing moves or a more firmed groundly universe of statistically based outcomes.

I get the impression that prompts your post as much as rnd's actual behavoir. It's always vexing when players make non-rational moves, get lucky, and end up messing up one's otherwise good position.

If it really bothers you, why not make an alt yourself, anonymously, and sack his lands on the kdice board. That's the beauty of kdice mixed with anonymity.

i.e. If your annoyed he's alleged abusing his alts to act outrageously with real risk of elo loss if things go sour, counter with your own alt.

Setting aside rnd popularity or notoriety, on a strategic metagame level, commenting generally, it seems the natural countertactic.

Errata: Forums need an edit feature, that should have read 'without'.

its time to rethink all your tactics. :)

Chuckle.

Personally I find you going social engineering / postal entertaining as hell to observe, though it tends to mess with my actually learning any decent 1900 tactics useful on 1700s boards, as things go socially loopy in ways that don't otherwise occur on 1700s or games with non-magnetic personalities running amok.

I'd sack your lands myself, and Xica's to boot, if only for the bothersome detail that I don't have sufficient expertise yet.

:-)

Actually, that I'll back up. That is the one non-exotic rnd tactic that's actually been a helpful tactical lesson from observing 1900s matches where you run amok.

It's a fundamentally undervalued kdice move, and it's won me two games so far, I think (estimating roughly), on lower tables.

In fairness though, Xica was not, per se, talking about the occassion use of a judicious 4v5. When you go balls to the wall postal, you take it all the way in style.

Xica is a very handsome looking gent and should not have to put up with rnd's vile antics. Why take this example from one of today's games:

_rnd: hey Turing
_rnd: i want to violate you like the class hamster i got to take home in 3rd grade
_rnd: ... except without the lube
_rnd: and if you tell anyone about this i'll just say you tried sending me naked pictures

More importantly, how do you guys type huge posts in this confining little text box? I'm already feeling claustrophobic typing this one!
