Is there anybody contesting the sense of a rule, to make imposing illegal on kdice?
That is making a nickname on purpose almost identical to an existing one, just to spread confusion, either misusing the fame of the other or trying to smutch him/her. This is includes taking an original distinguishable avatar from somebody else.!Yes when reading I do mismatch people that for example "stolen" Ryans flaterik avatar, or XicaDivas girly image. |

at 3:34 PM, Monday April 16, 2007 EDT I have to somewhat agree with fuzzycat. I don't think having the same avatar should be banned, but there is a problem with having both the "same" name and avatar. I would think there would be many more complaints about this.

fuzzycat: Yes ;-) |

at 4:47 PM, Monday April 16, 2007 EDT One more thing fuzzycat, I am not posing as you. Same picture, yes, but I do not wish for anyone to have us confused. I even have the disclaimer "I am NOT Fuzzycat!" for your benefit, but you do not have the power to say that I can or cannot use this picture. I don't believe you have any right to call this picture yours no more than I have the right to call it mine.

at 4:57 PM, Monday April 16, 2007 EDT You only copied for the thread to pester. Thats the annoyance.
Look there are so many felix pictures, I don't mind if you take any another. But must it be EXACTLY this one? When reading the forums I also get very confused when people just "take" others avatars. Oh Ryan said something? Oh no it was just one that also took exactly the same flat eric avatar. Same with Xivaladiva, it just disrupts. And that what the "avatar-thief" really wants, not because he really would want that avatar also by cooincidence, its because to pester around. And I don't see any sense supporting that. Other than that the thread altough I do not appreciate it, it is not primary about "coincdentical idententical" avatars you read it correctly, its about impersonators. Do you agree that using the same avatar, nearly the same name, and the same texts (so you really trying to impersonate) is reaaallly not good for the communtiy? Some baby-heads do it already all the time. BTW: How many trillions avatars does google have? Isn't it possible that IF somebody choosed a *personal* avatar, not another one on kdice most mock it? Really there are so many, and yes for me this is a "first come first take". |
