2012-02-25 In our game, PHILUREN was terrific. PHILUREN was teal, I was yellow, and Bojan Duskic was purple. Purple had an early lead but not a large one. He maintained it. PHILUREN flagged to purple (which made sense as he was right next to purple and was much smaller). Finally it got down to teal, purple, and me. I knew I couldn't beat both teal and purple, so I asked PHILUREN for the chance to fight purple for 1st/3rd--that is, I would not try for 2nd if I lost to purple. Teal was nice enough to agree. Purple never explicitly SAID he would take 3rd if he lost to me, so PHILUREN had some (slight?) risk that purple would turn on him to get 2nd if it was clear he would lose to me; had that happened, I would have quit in 3rd to preserve PHILUREN's 2nd place. It didn't matter because I lost to purple, but due to the map, it took a long time since we fought at a bottleneck. The game ended in Round 45. Many thanks to PHILUREN for letting purple and me fight. I play Kdice for the fun fights not to flag (nothing against flagging), so I really appreciate PHILUREN patiently waiting through that long fight.
