Should you have called? I don't think so with Q3. I hit TP with TK and see 2 hearts so bet the pot to protect the hand from a draw. Should you have called the bet? I don't think so. Raise or fold. Were you getting the right odds to call for the flush or weaker 2 pair? No, the odds were against you. With only 9 strong outs and 3 weak outs you needed better than the 2.7:1 pot odds. After missing the turn and getting even poorer pots odds and less implied odds was it worth calling the turn bet? Definately not, a good time to push all in or fold, but not call. After missing the river was it worth calling off another $74.5K for top pair useless kicker? From my end it was a scary hand to play made easier cos I never faced a large raise. TPTK is nice but not that nice. I had to be scared of AA, KK, TT, 55. Didn't think you could have T5 but may have QT. If AA, KK or maybe TT I would have expected a re-raise pre-flop, so I ain't putting you on those hands. So now I am only scared of TT, 55 & QT. You call the flop so you've hit a set, 2 pr or flush draw. No raise to protect set or 2 pr from flush so what really worries me is your flush draw. The turn is a scare, you might have made the str8. Still no raise to block flush = no str8. Still only worried by draw. No heart on river means I'm safe unless you trapped me with a set or overpair. I was happy with my play, but have run into trouble with TPTK before. You might ask yourself 'what was I doing in what turned into a $300K pot with Qh3h in my hand' ? ? ? ? At least I had a hand. |
