Gangstrr, here is my reply.... I was most upset the fact that you brought that other guy back into the game who was already as good as out plus the fact that you turned a flagging situation into a 1 /2, see my more thorough eplanation below ... yup. counters occur and it does not surprise or frighten me. But long before that, a tactically absolutely useless move (let aside the long term strategy of bringing that 3rd party (who I suspected of being your pga because of the occurred as mentioned below) back into the game. T hat specific move, which increased an isle of yours from a 5 or 6 single stacked to 4 or 5 low stacked ones spread ove the whole peninsula and separated from your main base by 2 or 3 spots, instead of trying to connect or expanding your main base and as such severely decreased your chances for first in my eyes, if you were seriously battling me for that, unless you wanted to give the other guy (who until then was nothing except for 2 or 3 not even yet connected lands in a remote location) his chance to move in there was formerly blocked by yours and my stack and furthermore the move would block me off from this whole area due to the stacking situation, so I acknowlege the strategic logic and long term value . Yet I call this a 2.v. 1 play (silent truce or pga) and not a counter. A counter to 1 player with only a slight advantange on the board ? Not seriously. Having plenty of game exerience, in that situation I wasn`t even bullying either one of you, in order to avoid an uprising 2v1 situation so the expectedd way would have been of taking the 3rd party out and fight 1 / 2 between the 2 of us.... Most surprisingly though, after I was out with 3rd place, you guys even fought 1 / 2 despite the fact, that the other guy had officially flagged to you 3 rounds after !!! the suspective move. Trust me, I can read games and ongings quite well by now.... (after a plenty of games and tourneys, all in all may be a couple 1000 and I just don`t enjoy being fooled ------------- on the other hand, I fully agree with you that this is only a game with virtual points, so better let`s try to enjoy it and be less ambitious. That is why I prefer friendly style play..... as such a fight for 1 /2 between the two of us may have been much more appropriate ...
