I actually do respect flags except under these conditions:

1) Truce > Flag
2) Ninja flags that can't hold up and where I'll be at a disadvantage if I sit and wait for someone else to kill you
3) Your position came at my expense and I lost dom as a result. I'll reclaim my dom.
4) I was doing something in another browser window and didn't notice the flag-- sorry about that.
