the solution shouldn be play more games- i think the goal should be to minimize the luck factor in a way that you dont have to play like 1000 games until finally you can tell who is a good player and who isnt

I would say yes.

Since dom is not caculated until the third turn how can I lose dom in the first two turns if I cannot gain dom.

Rowdy the way I view Dom is that it's like an ante in poker. Everyone has to donate a set amount (depending on the table level) and then you have a chance to earn it back by doing well in the game. If you fold (get pwnd early) you lose the points you put in.

I think that the system works well as is. It discourages everyone from going nuts the first round and making incredibly risky attacks for an attempt at first while supporting aggressive play at the same time.

As has been stated many times, losing without ever having a turn is balanced out by:
1) Having great starts
2) Other players losing without taking a turn

The whole scoring system could change.
All players gain points instead of loosing points hard fort for in other games.

It seems unfair that player can gang up on you in one game and reduce your score substantially. Yes its happened to be and i feel demotivated.

The amount you have invested in the game should be less during the first few rounds. For example: If you lose before your first turn, you loss is only 25% of what it would be later in the game. If you lose before your 2nd turn the loss would be 50%, etc, up to 100% after your 3rd turn. It also means that if you?re completely screwed at the start you can flag early and cut your losses, but you should still lose something.

People would maybe flag too early, and just play good starts. Dont you think this would wreck the whole game?

Maybe such a system could be expolited by quasi-PGA networks. Players with lousy starts could get out of the game without any loss - with a little help.

"Oh fuck ive got only two little stacks left! People KILL ME NOW!! KILL ME PLEASE!!! I dont wanna survive to my turn! Ill owe my LIFE to the one who kills me! RED you IDIOT why didnt you kill me now ill lose 600 points cause of you!!!!! Im gonna PGE you for the rest of my life!!!!"

I dont think rule like this can be implemented without causing unwanted mess...

how about instead of expecting the game to be changed, _you_ change _your_ expectations?

everyone suffers the same fate, so everyone loses the same points the same way and it all equals out in the end. The problem is you being scared of losing a few kdice points, not anything about the game. don't like the game? don't play!

too bad for you if you lose on round 1 :) This is actually very rare so no big deal (only happened 2 times to me) so whatever.
