OKAY, so. basically a lot of people have been mentioning cleaning up & improving the forum lately, and this is an attempt to bring all these ideas together in one thread.

1. links to page numbers at the bottom, as well as the top, of each page in a thread.

2. "edit post" button on posts, able to be used by either the poster, or a moderator.

3. "delete post" button, same idea.

4. user-personalised signatures at the bottom of each thread, for quotes etc, 500 letter word count, no HTML (or maybe HTML allowed if picture/font sizes can be restricted)

5. ability to use HTML in forums to post pictures, links etcetera

6. "ideas" "player notes" and "strategies" sections modified to show the most recent contributions alongside the most popular.

7. "problems and bugs" section created

feel free to add more, etc.

39 people think this is a good idea

i remember when i started playing there was this one dude everyone hated.

his name: DiceLord
i think

he just made one of those free forums into a kdice forum. it looked cool and all, but apparently nobody joined. except beepa.

the idea was good, but the kdice community not ready for it at that point.

If Vermont would make another attempt i am sure everyone would join, since he is one of the most, if not THE most respected member of the kdice community.

good idea anyways

Wow, shevar. Thanks.

However, I really think any forum for kdice should be officially tied into the website. I can't see Ryan taking this forum down, and having two would just dilute the user community.

Sophie - I still think your previous idea of keeping player notes separate is good, since it dominates the general forum. I know I can just click on discussion, but this doesn't help with ideas or strategy, which are sorted by popularity, so new posts often get quickly lost/buried. Alternatively, add an option to sort ideas by date instead of just by popularity.

- a special section for game comments

The forum is full of those "and then I flagged... and then i had an 8stack ... and he does not respect flags ... and i was just ... "

This part of the forum should have a "do-not-show-box" you can click.

That would really clean up 90% of the boring stuff

OH YEAH! an "ignore posts from this user" function is a must

bump!

"bump" perfectly illustrates why #6 is a good idea. This slipped off the first couple pages of the "All" board quickly, and was buried in the "Ideas" forum because that is sorted only by popularity, not date.

bump #2.

if people want to make a difference they may have to vote.

Search is a requirement for any forum!

search is a must!

and also the option to go directly to the last page. i dont need to have the 1st page everytime i hit the topic.
