At the begin of the match, you see your starting position, you see whom you will play with etc. You see who will go first.
Then everbody can set the amount of points he wants to risk for the game. If he looses, he looses this, if he wins, he wins sevenfold. |

at 4:52 PM, Saturday January 6, 2007 EST nice thought, but... it's not poker. There can happen a lot to a good starting position and good things can come up from a crappy one. And I think being 2nd or 3rd should be rewarded, because without, (1) alliances make no sense (2) it can be a big achievement from a bad position to get there. So ... No.

at 6:01 PM, Saturday January 6, 2007 EST Well you can risk some points, if you think you can manage from start position.
Maybe the factor you should gain, should depend on the other players? If they risk high, means they think they have a good start situation, you should get more from a bad one... |

Yes the idea is borrowed from poker. Since poker settings is also highly randomly how you will perfom, but somehow people dont feel it unfair there! |
