Inappropriate Icons

I am contemplating quitting this site, since some users cannot refrain from using explicit animated gif's as their icons.
Keep the stuff away from the rest of us - we don't want it!! Destroy yourself, not us. Suggestion: create a list of approved icons. |

Um... yes. But he hasn't made any rules directly in regards to this OTHER than to say he will soon be making the Avatars "turn offable (if you will permit me to coin a term)". That would seem to imply that his decision is to terminate any racially inflammatory Avatars, and that the rest can be "turned off" if they bother you. More to the point, in this case the "beholder" in question is, in fact, EddieT2. Ryan did not start this thread, nor did he complain about moving boobies (I believe he went so far as to say he, personally, is pro-boobie, while the site is a neither for or against). "ryan is the owner/creater/moderator of these sites and i respect his and only his decision" Yet you weigh in on EddieT2, no Ryan's, decision. This complaint was stated by EddieT2 (I know I'm repeating myself, but I'm trying to be as clear as possible since you BLATANTLY missed my earlier point), not by Ryan. Ryan has weighed in laterally (in another post) and directly (in the form of enabling the user to "turn off" an Avatar), and in both cases has seemed to favor self-regulating that which offends you, rather than censoring or otherwise restricting user-expression. And, if anything, I'd think Ryan finds it useful for people to debate different aspects of the game/site; it can only serve to help improve the overall experience. Fuz. |

Actually, on review, fuz handled things pretty well. Don't mind me. |

--- everyone else, this is a SOCIAL game, so it is okay if the majority of users say they dont WANT it, it to be GONE. BTW: I hate animated avatars too, and I hate sexual avatars. I guess however that are mosttimes some youngsters that have to compensate, what they dont get in real life. |
