@integral: I guess there were quite a few people that hadn't wanted either Clinton or Trump just a few months ago (i.e. before the primaries were over) but conceded to vote for "the lesser evil" when their favourites were eliminated.

Some people even claim that Bernie Sanders would have won the election, if they let him win on an even playing field in the Democratic primaries.

Now, I certainly wouldn't go that far (Bernie is just too much of a socialist for an average American's taste), but it was a race between two fairly unpopular candidates. Even when he had a comfortable early lead in the Republican primaries, very few people took Trump seriously, and even fewer expected him to be able to win the election. He has defied all odds and all we can hope for is that he might be able defy them once again and be a responsible and successful president against all expectations.

@integral: Yeah, I understand that, but he has already stated his opinion in the "44 days in..." topic ("Can't stand Trump or Hillary. I figured some of you guys would though." -> He's originally rooted for other republicans [Cruz?].)

Also: His sentiment was certainly shared by other people as well, and you have also addressed your last sentence to "you Americans" instead of just Yodel.
