at 5:48 AM, Tuesday October 4, 2016 EDT Problem with a person having that many trophies and successes is, that I'd have strong doubts about that person not being involved in some team at some point, i. e. the time he won the trophies.
Problem with long lasting players is, that most of them changed accounts like underwear (or more often). It is hard to tell who's been around since when. Many even forgot their first accounts access data. At least that's my explanation for seeing so little preMarch07-accounts around. Any other explanation would end up with me having missed the moment to quit... That list of things needed to become a mod is missing a few aspects though: 1) The person needs vast amounts of time. 2) The person must be willing to spend that time on this website and this group of people. 3) The person must be aware that his payment will be insults, hatred and loss of the ability to play this with his current account any more. I'd like to add that the person shouldn't have a family - but then this might be a valid escape. Most experienced players are on here for +5 years. If you started at 18 that'd mean it is about time to think about settling down. Exactly when you need a time-killing job like mod of a bunch of jerks/dorks. In other words: Thanks a lot to those that do it and have done it. Good luck looking for others. I hope the current ones will stay active a little longer. |

at 5:51 PM, Tuesday October 4, 2016 EDT Louis you are far too serious. Being a mod doesn't have to be someone's life's work. The function of a mod is to maintain a happy level of order, not trawl through hours and hours of video footage from the zero tables to investigate every accusation of "cheating".

at 7:40 AM, Wednesday October 5, 2016 EDT Thrill, that is certainly a way to see it. I'm not sure it'd be a good way though.
We lose new players on 0 tables when they get ripped off there. The cheating, funneling and bullshitting on 5k is from obsessed morons to obsessed morons. You don't really lose there. It prevents more players to show the stupidity to go there, but you don't lose traffic or players. Those are lost at 0 and 100, maybe 500. IMHO protection of new players should be first duty of the mods - the others will hardly leave anyhow. But maybe I am taking this too serious and should just mutate into an asshole like the rest of the regular players. |

at 10:36 AM, Wednesday October 5, 2016 EDT Kdice has pretty simple rules.
General Rules Do not use pornography avatars Do not harrass people Do not use hate language or avatars Game Rules Game-to-game favors or alliances are not allowed Play only one account at a time Most of what people call "cheating" or "pga" is just nonsense which shouldn't be given the time of day. Some people play a straight bat, some people lie through their teeth. Some people don't talk and some spend the whole game scheming. It's a social game, that's the beauty of it. One goal and so many different ways to get there - all within the rules above. The site needs more mods like mad hat sam. Played like a regular jackass player while enforcing the actual rules. No power tripping, no time wasted debating horse shit with idiots. What you are talking about Louis is getting mods to make up their own revised rules where if someone behaves "poorly" they can be dealt with. Playing dirty is within the rules, even if you don't like it. As above - it's a social game so it's up to the players to deal with that stuff in game. I have 600 negative reviews. Do you think it's easy winning games while sitting with 4 people trying to pge you? You don't need mods sorting out the in game drama, it sorts itself out. |

at 3:07 AM, Thursday October 6, 2016 EDT Nobody wants mod-action for stabbing, lies, fake-away, chat-pawning and so on. Nothing wrong with that. Like you said - but we know there is teamplaying and funneling even at low tables. That's what needs to be dealt with.
If the few players that do care for medals and play 2k and above cannot handle a group of 4 or 10 people funneling and cheating to get gold - welcome to the Olympic Games, the better cheater wins. This is not important to the site. And yes, we do not need mods making up own rules (like banning C- or N-words and alike). Depending where you come from there is worse things to be called. "Harassment" and "Hate Language" is always semantics and should be dealt with great caution. I'd suggest to grow some skin if you are offended by the above words. For the oldtimers around, I loved alt.flame, alt.jokes.tasteless, ... |
